Summer EBT Card

Summer EBT funds are back for the summer of 2026.   What is Summer EBT? Summer EBT is a Federal Program administered by NJDA which provides families with children who are eligible for federal free or federal reduced price school meals with $40 per child per month to assist during the three summer months of June, July, and August when school is not in session.  New Jersey will again be issuing the one-time Summer EBT benefit as a single $120 allotment per eligible child.  Families will receive physical EBT cards, mailed to their homes, which they can then use to purchase nutritious food.  The first round of EBT cards will be sent out late in June.

Parents who receive this benefit, please make sure we have your most up to date address on file to avoid any delays in receiving your Summer EBT card.

If your child is not automatically eligible, and you did not complete a School Meals and Summer EBT Application in the beginning of the school year but believe your child may qualify for the Summer EBT program based on household size and family income, you are encouraged to complete a School Meals and Summer EBT Application no later than April 1st to see if you qualify for the Federal Summer EBT benefit, prior to the start of summer.
