Student Services Information

I am proud to begin my 32nd year serving the students, staff, and families of the Phillipsburg School District. Throughout my career in Phillipsburg, I have had the privilege of serving as an elementary teacher, Director of K–5 Curriculum, New Teacher Induction Coordinator, and Principal of Phillipsburg Elementary School. In 2016, I was honored to be named the Warren County Teacher of the Year and a finalist for New Jersey State Teacher of the Year.
Although my roles have evolved over the years, I remain a teacher at heart. I believe in the power of meaningful relationships, strong schools, and continuous learning. I am committed to being visible, accessible, and connected to our students, families, staff, and community.
At the heart of the Department of Student Services is a deep commitment to the success, well-being, and growth of every student. We believe that all students deserve access to high-quality instruction within safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. Through collaboration, advocacy, and responsive support, our goal is to help each student develop the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to thrive.
The Department of Student Services oversees a wide range of programs and services, including special education, related services, school nursing and health services, home instruction, Section 504 plans, McKinney-Vento supports, mental health and counseling services, attendance, student wellness, and school safety. Our dedicated team works collaboratively with students, families, educators, administrators, and community partners to provide coordinated support that reflects the unique strengths and needs of every learner.
We recognize that families are essential partners in a student’s educational journey. Whether you are a student, parent or caregiver, staff member, or community member, we welcome your questions, ideas, and collaboration. Please do not hesitate to reach out to learn more about our programs, access support, or discuss how we can best serve your child.
Together, we will continue to create a school community where every student feels seen, supported, valued, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
