JOB DESCRIPTION: Preschool Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:
1. NJ Preschool through Third Grade Certification
2. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
3. Student Centered Focus
4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
5. Creativity, patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children
6. Required criminal history background check
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED:
The applicant should be knowledgeable about the following:
1. Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards
2. Creative Curriculum/Teaching Strategies Gold
3. Early Childhood Development principles, theories, and best practices
4. Active learning strategies
5. Educational technology
6. Team teaching
7. Differentiated instruction
8. Cooperative learning
9. Thematic planning/interdisciplinary instruction
10. Authentic assessment
